Energy tells the contractor whether the machine will finish the next shift. Mixing those two values is how a 100 kW \/ 215.04 kWh cabinet gets approved for a job that needs 300 kWh every night.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-069f896f auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"069f896f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">TNO field measurements show how quickly the numbers grow. Reported 17 tonne and 35 tonne excavators used about 28 kWh and 52 kWh per operating hour, while measured daily consumption varied with demolition and civil work. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tno.nl\/nl\/duurzaam\/mobiliteit-logistiek\/monitoring-werkelijke-uitstoot\/bouwplaats-morgen\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color:#61CE70\" rel=\"noopener\">Dutch construction-site equipment measurements<\/a><\/strong> provide a firmer starting point than engine nameplate power alone. The Hague study reached the same practical conclusion: working phase, operating hours and charging strategy change the grid requirement.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cc8fa091 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"cc8fa091\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Daily energy should be assembled from the actual machines scheduled for that shift:<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1fd7c3f3 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1fd7c3f3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"><strong>Required machine energy = \u03a3(machine operating hours \u00d7 measured kWh per hour) + planned midday top-ups<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-062a7345 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"062a7345\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The BESS must deliver that energy through an AC system and a separate charger. Its preliminary nameplate requirement can be expressed as:<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8ac539e4 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8ac539e4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"><strong>BESS rated energy = required AC delivery \u00f7 usable SOC fraction \u00f7 discharge-path efficiency + operating reserve<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d00f868b auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d00f868b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Keep the inputs separate. Rated battery energy, permitted SOC window, PCS losses, auxiliary consumption, charger losses and the machine battery\u2019s accepted energy describe different boundaries. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solidess.com\/xh\/bess-for-ev-charging-stations\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color:#61ce70\">BESS power and energy method used for limited-capacity charging sites<\/a><\/strong> follows the same boundary discipline.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-afb3dff8 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"afb3dff8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Return to the 120 kW charging example. The grid has about 35 kW left after the assumed 20 kW site load, so the BESS supplies approximately 85 kW. A two-hour session requires about 170 kWh at the BESS AC output. Only 45.04 kWh separates that duty from a 215.04 kWh nameplate before the usable SOC window, conversion losses, auxiliaries and reserve are deducted. The ESSA0100B-0215 may pass the 100 kW power test and still fail the two-hour energy test.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4841718d auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4841718d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Longer charging sessions or a second machine move the project toward parallel cabinets or the 1.0752 MWh ESSC0500B-1075.
