Systems that pass only one or two of those checks are not ready for equipment selection.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b71d0753 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b71d0753\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Existing PV can remain on its present inverter while a separate <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solidess.com\/xh\/product\/inkqubo-yokuguqula-amandla-ye-megsolid\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color:#61ce70\">I-MEGA TS PCS<\/a><\/strong> gives the battery its own AC-coupled path, subject to switchboard, transformer, protection and DNO checks.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b4c23425 auto-h2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b4c23425\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">PCS Power Starts at the DNO Boundary<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1b38664c auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1b38664c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The DNO sees the AC power that can cross the connection point, not the battery's energy label. The same 500 kWh battery presents a different network case behind a 100 kW PCS than behind a 250 kW PCS. Existing PV generation also counts when the DNO assesses the aggregate arrangement.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-997d92dc auto-h3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"997d92dc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Separate the Connection Capacity from the Control Setpoint<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0eb530c5 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"0eb530c5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">UK connection documents may state a Maximum Import Capacity and a Maximum Export Capacity. These are site boundaries, not battery commands. Customers limitation scheme then uses a Maximum Import Limit, Maximum Export Limit or equivalent approved setpoints to keep measured power inside the agreed boundary.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d7936b6c auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d7936b6c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Charging makes that distinction obvious. The battery is an electrical load while it charges, so an EMS focused only on export can let the combined factory load and battery exceed the permitted import. During discharge, the same site can breach its export limit if factory demand suddenly falls or rooftop output rises.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-009b5dc3 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"009b5dc3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The control point sits at the site boundary. Its meter and CTs must see grid import, grid export, PV, battery action and changes in the factory load. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solidess.com\/xh\/indlela-yokucacisa-ulawulo-lokuthumela-ngaphandle-lwe-bess-zero-kwi-pcc\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color:#61ce70\">PCC zero-export control method<\/a><\/strong> goes deeper into that measurement boundary, while the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solidess.com\/xh\/battery-peak-shaving-control-pcc\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color:#61ce70\">PCC peak-shaving article<\/a><\/strong> covers import control against a demand target.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d2c1b340 auto-h3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d2c1b340\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">G98: The Microgeneration Notification Boundary<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ba7e7bec auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ba7e7bec\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">G98 covers microgenerating plant whose aggregate nominal current does not exceed 16 A per phase. At 230 V, that is about 3.68 kW on one phase; a three-phase installation applies the current limit to each phase. This is not the normal route for a factory-scale battery.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-badb8050 auto-h3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"badb8050\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">G99: The Connection Approval Route<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e2a40f39 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e2a40f39\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Commercial PV and storage above the G98 boundary normally go through G99 before connection instead of notification after installation. The DNO assesses the aggregate arrangement, including existing PV and the proposed battery PCS. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.energynetworks.org\/assets\/images\/Resource%20library\/G99%20Types%20B-D%20Full%20Guide.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Energy Networks Association connection guide<\/a> sets out the current definitions and application routes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-141c0d33 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"141c0d33\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The 50 kW threshold shown by a DNO can be an application-service boundary instead of a national G98\/G99 rule. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukpowernetworks.co.uk\/low-carbon-technology-commercial\/solar-and-storage-at-my-business-whats-involved\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UK Power Networks<\/a>, for example, separates its 5\u201350 kW automated route from projects at 50 kW or above.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6790519e auto-h3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6790519e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">G100: Import and Export Limitation<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ccbcb825 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ccbcb825\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">G100 sets the technical requirements for customer import and export limitation schemes. The UK-appointed EPC, electrical contractor, ICP or other responsible project party must be named for the G99 submission, G100 scheme integration, energisation \/ commissioning and fault-response handover; the relevant DNO remains the network approval authority.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f14bdc28 auto-h3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f14bdc28\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Limited Grid Power Can Support a Longer-Duration Battery<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-317f36fa auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"317f36fa\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Import limits mainly constrain how fast the battery can charge; they do not set stored energy to the same number. Sites with spare capacity overnight may charge a 215 kWh or 261.24 kWh cabinet slowly, then use that energy during a shorter daytime peak. The calculation must prove that the available charging window can restore the required state of charge before the next event.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f1828879 auto-p elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f1828879\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The equipment schedule should not be frozen until the DNO has accepted the proposed generating capacity, operating limits and control arrangement.
