Who We Are
MegSolid (Hong Kong) Limited (hereinafter referred to as "MegSolid") was founded in Fangshan District, Beijing in 2016. It is an incubated enterprise of the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Leveraging in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, the company is dedicated to advancing solid-state battery technology.
MegSolid currently operates seven production and R&D bases, located in Fangshan (Beijing), Liyang (Jiangsu), Huzhou (Zhejiang), Shaoxing (Zhejiang) and Zibo (Shandong).Specializing in solid-state lithium battery technology, MegSolid is a national high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, marketing and sales. It has built a full industrial chain centered on technological innovation.
The History of MegSolid
Our Story
Research on solid-state batteries quietly began in a laboratory at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1977. No one could have imagined that this tiny seed would be taken over by MegSolid nearly 40 years later and grow into a force reshaping the industry.
From the first unveiling of the 10Ah in-situ cured battery in 2016 to obtaining core patents from the Chinese Academy of Sciences; from the special certification of power batteries with an energy density of 300Wh/kg to the successive launch of batteries dedicated to drones and battery packs supporting a 1,000-kilometer driving range; from the commissioning of multiple factories in Jiangsu, Huzhou and Zibo to being rated as a provincial-level smart factory and securing designated supplier status for complete vehicle manufacturers.
Mission
Not being a "specs chaser", but a "pragmatist": We do not pursue extreme lab parameters, but focus on the real demands at customers' work sites.
Keep the complexity to ourselves and deliver simplicity to users. Users do not need to understand the intricate principles behind the system; they only need to know that "flip the switch, and reliable power is available".
